The Rattlesden International Bake Off is a beloved village tradition that
brings together bakers of all ages
and skill levels.
Whether you're a master of macarons or a beginner with brownies, this event is all about
sharing the joy of baking andraising money for our local Foodbank charity.
Join us for a day filled with delicious treats, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Please note that parking near the event will be limited. We encourage everyone to walk if possible or arrange to be dropped off. Limited parking is available nearby on the High Street in Rattlesden and at the Village Hall on Lower Road.
Bringing together flour, sugar, and creativity, our community bake-off is a celebration of shared traditions and delicious recipes. Through the art of baking, we foster connections, inspire culinary passion, and create lasting memories.

After the public vote, relax and enjoy music and drinks, it's time to smash piñatas while our panel of judges decides.

Based in Bury St Edmunds, Gatehouse operates four key projects, one of which is a volunteer-led foodbank. They collect donations from local shops and supermarkets to provide time-limited crisis support to individuals who are referred to them, and given food parcels. Beyond immediate aid, Gatehouse builds long-term resilience through cooking courses, a community café, peer support groups, and works in close collaboration with local councils and Citizens Advice Bureau to ensure the right people are getting the right support.
